The Yamaha SG1000,SG2000 came out in 1973,and were modeled after the Les Paul design.A thick mahogany body, with maple cap,and binding. Carlos Santana played one in the early 70's.I used to own a SG400 Yamaha, but it was low-line crap, wouldn't stay tuned.I would say the price of a mint cond. SG2000 would be around $900.00 US,the SG1000 about $600.00. I'm not sure what this converts to in your currency, but be sure you don't pay too much. They are nice guitars.Heavy, too!

i agree with panbient that top gear doesnt make a damn.......i own a peavey grind bass that cost me a pretty penny and i dont hardly ever play it.....i play my good ol' yamaha rbx 260 that cost me $150 brand new most of the time mainly because it has a less thick sound to it.....sounds more like Steve Harris or Digiorgio's guitar

heh. you guys should try recording a jamming session where all of the band members are as stoned and drunk as you are. and try listening to it in the morning / or whenever you're sober. expect some funni sh!t.
