Man With No Name is what I'd call a classic. It's good indeed, but it's a classic!
Also give a try to Aurora Borealis - The Milky Way so you can tell me if you like harder and repetitive trance. If you liked this track then why not trying Abet - The Sweetest Song*! This song is really amazing but it's Trancecore. If you listen to all of these songs we'll be able to tell you what kind of trance you really like, and our advices will be more precise!
*these are songs I like much!!

I'm new into listening to trance and it would be great if someone could help me with some recommendations to start with. "Transwave - Land Of Freedom" is awesome not too keen on the milky way though and there are several trance tracks called "man with no name", cant find the sweetsong.

not a big trance fan myself. i find most of it pretty repulsive.
if you want something to psych you up, check out 'the illness' by kid606. crazy mash-up drill'n'bass, the most high-adrenaline song i've ever heard.

Yeah I like Astral Projection. Hallucinogen was good too. And BP Empire. But Astral was the best out of the list. Oh, and X-Dream. P.S. Psytrance is shit. Goa is not psytrance.

I used to be a big time GOA fan, I bought plenty of CD's.
I still play some MIRANDA and enjoy it.
GOA is light but at least a bit deeper and mysterious than the infinitelly vain and gutless HOUSE music.

Chicane - Palladium (22-01-2000)
Paul van Dyk - Live At Energy 2003 (10-08-2003)
Conjure One ft. Sinéad O'Connor - Tears From The Moon (Hybrid's Twisted On The Terrace Dub)
Ferry Corsten - Punk (Cosmic Gate Remix)
Future Sound Of London - Papua New Guinea
Rabbit In The Moon - Out of Body Experience
Sasha - Xpander
Scott Bond vs. Solar Stone - 3rd Earth
Sonorous - Protonic (Ronski Speed Mix)
System F - Elevate
I started out in Trance. Tastes change. Still listen to it every once in a while for the nostalgia factor. I still like Goa. Shpongle is an incredible group. Simon Posford is a good producer. Infected Mushroom and Astral Projection have their moments as well.
