I have "So Tonight That I Might See", and it's the only album I've heard of theirs, but I think it's great and I listen to it frequently. It's kind of like the Cowboy Junkies' first two albums; mellow, countrified dream pop with sultry vocals. It almost even sounds goth in places. I remember trying to get my sister (who has more mainstream tastes) into Mazzy Star on a car trip, and she couldn't stand it because Hope "sounds like a ghost." I personally find that to be a good quality.
"Among My Swan" is on my massive, unwieldy wish list, and I'm sure I'll get "She Hangs Brightly" after that. Mazzy Star are a great group. Also, I think Hope Sandoval is pretty:

She IS pretty indeed and her voice isn't easy to get into, but once you're in, you're all in

I like some of her songs but some of her other songs are just way too sleepy for my regular consumption. the same goes with Cowboy junkies' Trinity Session.
I would listen to them regularly if I have the habit of listening to relaxing music before my dream time arrives.

now that I have all three albums, it seems that I happen to like Among My Swan better...
Flowers In December, Take Everything, Look On Down from The Bridge are just amazing songs. I think it might be because the guitarist, Roback, uses less effects on this album. I don't know if this is the right way to put it, but it seems his guitar playing is weirder, more eerie, used for making sphere on So Tonight That I Might See...
