i have that album, but i'm not too fond of it

referring to the genius comment. what Autechre has accomphised is something that cannot be comprehended by the average person no matter how hard they might try to replicate their sound or techniques. perhaps one can work their way to brilliance (Charlie Parker), but in this instance, it's almost too outlandish to think of someone replicating the output of innovation and creativity that these two have put together. if there is a meaning to the word genius, these two fall under that meaning.

it depends what kind of mood i'm in, but if i want to chill out i'll put on amber, its a definite favourite album of mine. And almost everyone i've ever played slip to has actually loved it.
