This is ridiculous....
I really don't think metal deserves it's own section - it should be under rock. After all, that's what it is, a spin off of rock.
Anyway, it's cool that Haakon did this request anyway; it show's that he listens.  |

Rock and metal are kinda alike but... not that much, anyone that wanted to speak about KoRn and Slipknot would not want to be digging their way through a bunch of Queen threads and shit like that ------ not that im saying queen and other old - dead rock bands are shit mind

Rock is too large a genre, it needs to be split up.
Like mr. [Untitled] said, if you want to look up stuff about a metal band you would have to swim through posts on elton john or genesis to name a few.

I'm saying it should be a sub-directory under rock. Metal is a type of rock - there's no way around it. Metal can have it's forum, but it should be inside the Rock forum - na'Imean?

It definitely needs it own section. People who like metal ::mostly:: do NOT like rock. Rock is not very good nowadays--metal is it. Not rock..
And youre right that it's a spinoff--that's why its subsection under rock! =)
(as you can see I like metal much more..) but we're all entitled to our views. =)
