Now why is it then when everyone read the papers everyone not only disliked phil collins but they hated his music??????????????????????????? i dont no about u people on here but if we look at his career i dont think no one has done more things what he has done. ok i admit with genesis it was rock and solo wise it was rock/pop but if u listen to the lyrics not the music he seems more of a solo artist. he is the best in the buisness.
let's see... he was part of a group of people that gave us albums like 'the lamb lays down on broadway'... absolutely frikkin brilliant... but that wasn't enough for him... he had to give us sssseeussseuuuseeeuuudddiiiioooooooooo.... and for that he should have his legs broken...

phil collins is an extremely talented musician, but he's an ass and his recent efforts hav gone fron fookin brutal to even fookin worse. he's a disney puppet now, juste like elton john.

Yes, phil is the god of rock dumming, who here can honestly say they haven't air drummed along to "In The Air Tonight"? But he is going a bit south career, wise...

Phil Collins does some really fine, smooth pop music. I have total respect for his work. Sometimes when I just want some music to relax and chill out with, he's totally the ticket. On top of that, "Face Value" is just about as strong and eclectic a progressive pop album as anyone this side of the Beatles has ever put out.

I have the album "Invisible Touch" and I like it so! Not to mention I REALLY dig the song "In the air tonight". But I will say that Genesis/Phil Collins has done alot of shallow pop which I don't care for.
