I must say that "Dump" is, without a doubt, one of the WORST band names I've ever heard. You are going to get so much SH*T (excuse the pun) for that band name. Kurt Cobain almost named his band Fecal Matter, but then he took his head out of his ass. Smart decision. No one wants to buy music by a band named after a euphemism for poop. It really makes me wonder about the creativity and quality of your music, if that's the best band name you can come up with. Dump. Give me a frikkin' break.

Speaking of bad band names, My cousin is in a band name 'Half rotten nearly dead kangaroo fetus' they only have one song it's called 'Sledgehammer dildo', Always a great song for a laugh.

How about: Forest for the Trees. One good thing it has going for it, it doesn't make me think of poop at all. Just a suggestion. Oh, and if you use it, make sure to make the royalty checks out to...

I just looked up "Dump" on AMG, and guess what, there's already a band out there with that dumb name. Have a look:

I couldn't find any bands called "Dumpster", so that's a good suggestion. I personally wouldn't go for it, but it makes a heck of a lot more sense than simply "Dump". I mean, these are just my opinions - obviously one can succeed w/ a scatalogical band name.

make the checks out to carl stevenson... he's already had some success as forest for the trees in the 90s... probably mainly due to the fact that he was a collaborator (co-writer/producer) on beck's mellow gold album... heheheh
but i agree with what people have been saying... calling yourself dump makes me think of poop... even if i do refer to trash landfills as dumps...
dumpster isn't so bad if you want to stick with the whole garbage angle...
