Awful lists from the majority of you. Persona you alright, except how do you put RDJ2 into the producers list and leave out Premier?

Heiroglyphics - Third Eye Vision
Common - Ressurection
Jeru the Damaja - Wrath Of The Math
Redman - Muddy Waters
Del - No Need For Alarm
Mr. Lif - I Phantom
Mos Def / Kweli - Blackstar
Main Source - Breaking Atoms
OGC - Da Storm
Gangstarr - Hard To Earn
Everyone on Beatjunkies/Rhettmatic mix disk Vol 2.

Most Recent: Little Brother - The Listening

I think thats a good list...but how can you mention Redman without even mentioning Method Man...

To each his own i guess...still nice line up you got.

The only thing worth a mention for both is How High; Blackout was awful. And Meth was always overrated.

Might as well keep going:

Pharcyde - Labcabincalifornia
Gza - Liquid Swords
Jungle Brothers - Raw Deluxe
Afu-Ra - Body Of The Life Force
Grand Agent - By Design
Roots - Illadelph
Nas - Illmatic
Outkast - Southerplayalisticadillacmuzik
De La Soul - Stakes Is High

Blackout was doo doo, but how can you say the man was overrated? I'm hoping that was a joke, pick up Wutang Forever one day and listen to it. Who else flows like him, that original raw flow mixed with metaphors and wordplay.

I've heard Wu-Tang Forever (might as well have released Triumph as a 12" - rest was garbage). Meth is definitely overrated; he had his moments but he never outshined the others in terms of originality or skill. Gza, Inspectah, and Ghostface, all flow better.

Your opinion...

Sticking to the title of the thread i'll go ahead and list some great 'rappers':

Master P-Ghetto something(Dope or Doe, cant remember)
Snoop Doggy Dog-Any album he dropped with No Limit Records
Busta Rhymes-uhh, just pick any album
50 Cent-yeah
Crucial Conflict
Beanie Man-only came out with one album(if you want to call it that)

lol... i could barely type that with a straight face.

I actually don't think I ever made a list.

so interms of artist
1)The roots
2)outkast
3) mos def / blackstar

there are plenty of others I like but those are the big three I guess. and in terms of albums anything by those three would be great.

well that's just my personal current fav's. I dunno if I would the roots are THE best rap group out there. that's a pretty bold statement. and it really winds down to personal taste. but I can't think of many other groups still currently in their prime that I like better.
