i know that no one said that, but i think thats why some people might think that they are the best, And to answer just blaze, i think that Mos Def is the greatest. He's got amazing flow and he rhymes about things bigger than violence and ho's. He actually trys to make progress for balck people, rather then holding them to the stereotypes of drugs and violence with black people.

yea mos def is quality, just some of his beats can be so weak. I think his voice is another great aspect since it's so distinct and it's not because of some voice synthesizer, it's all natural. I'm sorry to say I never really got into Blackstar though (I think Talib is great).
Refering back to Biggie and Pac, I think being dead enhances a lot of careers. Think about it, would Kurt Cobain be who he is right now if he weren't dead? The same goes for Biggie and Pac. The only difference with Biggie and Pac is that I truly think they are the best. Maybe it's because the rest of their careers remains a mystery, but either way the stuff that they released when they were alive is just sensational.

you act like black folks are the only people killing and smoking crack. every genre of music talks about violence and sex. country, rock and roll, pop, you name it. they've just been doing it longer so everybodies used to it. don't be ignorant.

"He actually trys to make progress for black people, rather then holding them to the STEREOTYPES of drugs and violence" I said it was a sterotype, not a reality. Every genre talks about it, but it's not nearly as frequent in other genres, and certainly isnt associated with other genres like it is in rap.

so drugs and violence aren't associated with rock and roll either? they were way before rap even came on the scene. so who's not holding who to the stereotypes.

alright, you're clearly trying way to hard to find something wrong about my posts. i said all genres have sex and violence in them, but it's most commonly associated with rap. mostly because of commercial rap. thats all i'm sayin. any political incorrectness with this post?

everyone has their own opinion, mann. i just don't happen to agree with yours. and since there aren't any facts or statistics to back up any of our opinions, we're just gonna have to agree to disagree.
