The decline ?? Wasn't that just an EP or a single or something,
I have to say that NOFX has been pretty shit since about 1995.

I really like Liberal Animation, S & M Airlines, Ribbed, White Trash two Heebs....., and punk in drublic and I could understand if someone listed one of these albums.

The longest line was by FAR the best EP the band put out and contains some of the bands best songs. I can not believe that someone has listed something of their more recent recordings as a must hear punk album, maybe I have missed something?

Have you not heard much NOFX?
Have you not heard much Punk Rock?
Whats going on maaaaannnnnnnnn!

Not punk in the purest sence of the word but they have the attitude of pushing boundrys and so I would say yep they are punk but I would question if they are punk ROCK. They didn't really rock they sort of wried and twisted.

Definately a must listen to.
Their first EP was like totally punk rock. After that they sorta branched off into weirdness with a little punk flavor, and then eventually became pretty poppy. I dunno, I don't listen to punk all that much anyway.

I agree with the dude who said Minutemen, that's an awesome album.

ok, these are the ones that obviosly shoulda been in there:
velvets - white light/white heat
stooges - funhouse
rites of spring - end on end
x - los angelese (mabes even wild gift)
richy hell & voidoids - black generation
replacements - sorry ma
germs - (GI)
the first j-division LP
dead boys - young loud snotty
suicide - s/t (the one with the white backgroud, not the other one)
television - marquee moon
the saints - i'm stranded
something by mudhoney/nirvana/melvins/something on subpop
new york dolls - LAMF (or mc5's backin the USA)
clash - s/t
i cant stress the importance of BLACK FLAG's - DAMAGED
buzzcocks - different kind of tension
damned - damned, damned, damned
the fall - this nation's saving grace
big black - songs about ****ing
i never really liked minor threat, but if you really want you can pile on one of their albums as well
if you really want to, you can also put in fear of a black planet, or straight outta compton

shit i could give some less obvious ones like easter everywhere, or underwater moonlight, or even three imaginary boys. i also always felt that bands like black sabbath and ac/dc were as punk as it gets, but hey, im just sticking to the obvious ones rite?

Yeah just stick to the obvious ones, if we included less obvious one we could go on all day

I agree with funhouse I like it as much as I like Raw Power and I should have included it. I would also probably inclue their s/t album. Along the lines of this music I would probably include something by Radio Birdman.

The Australian band X is better than the US band IMO

I agree with the saints I'm stranded is great Aussie punk

I would also include some suicidals good thinking

I did include damaged, don't you love how the last half of that album become so psychotic.

I was/am a huge sub pop band I could have included heeps of that stuff. My pick would be either superfuzz big muff (mudhoney) or 8 way santa (TAD) TAD were my favourite sub pop band, actually green river are pretty sweet as well.

New York Dolls, clash, Buzzcocks and the Dammed should always be on a list like this they are must hear bands.

joy division and big black, I usually don't think of as being punk but I can see why they they would be placed on this list so chuck them on.

Three Imaginary boys yeahhhh that is some good shit chuck it on the pile.

I haven't heard enough of the other stuff but hey I'll take your word for it, I'll have to listen to them some more.

Later.

I like The New York Dolls first album, dunno if thats really punk though. More like twisted rock n roll by a bunch of transvestite frankenstein junkie mutha****ers.
I like The Clash's first one too, as well as Raw Power. You cant ignore the influence that Nevermind the Bollocks had...

What about Kick Out The Jams?
