I mean .. yeah i love the Distillers ... but i don't think they would be where they are today if miss Dalle didn't whore around with Tim Armstrong ... and then she cheats on him whith what she thinks is the latest punk flava of the month .....??? hmmmm, i juz don't know what to think ....

I think you're right she might have used him cause really who these days use their husband's name, noone. But that the kind of thing that I like to do, using people, so I won't judge her.

I became a distiller's fan before i knew about her old marraige to armstrong...so, personally, it didn't do anything for me. i've heard they pretty much built a name for themselves without rancid's leverage. she f-ing rocks no matter what....

everyone's gotta get a break somehow...i think i'll start a new thread with a similar issue but it strikes me as bizarre that she has a irrefutable resemblance to courtney love (they dress differently etc) but their faces are quite similar as are their voices and style as far as band-fronters. i hate courtney love so much, but really like brody. love used her late husband to get hole into the limelight (that wretched whore) and there's debate whether dalle has used timmy. i just can't get over how alike their features and voices are....

its not only that i think she used the Armstrong naem to get her where she is now ... but she also used Tim's musical knowledge, his guidance and his production team to catapult the group into the limelight ... . Rancid was pretty made when the two got together ... she used his money , name , know-how of the music industry... what does he get ...?

i don't know her but from the sound of things it seems to me like she's a musical gold digger... if i remember right she's going out with josh homme now... i wonder just how much influence that had in getting the distillers to tour with the queens of the stone age...

i could totally be wrong but it almost seems like you could say she used armstrong to solidify some punk rock credibility then moved onto homme to become a rock star... i'm not saying armstrong and rancid don't know their stuff but i'd say homme's experience / knowledge of the music industry far surpasses armstrong's... and where rancid's popularity has been going down while qotsa's has been going up it almost seems like a career move...
