to everyone who thinks brody is a traitor, listen up. i think you need to take some time, sit down, and read some of the distillers interviews. you may change your opinion when you hear the truth coming out of the mouth of the person you hear/talk sh+t about. i really don't think brody used tim to get recognized in the music business. she really has talent (as well as andy, ryan, and tony!) and was already being noticed when she played in Sourpuss in Austrailia when she was 14! that's where she met tim and then they moved back to the US. AND! they were married for 4 years. do you seriously think.... well, let me put it this way. would you pretend to love someone and marry them just because they can get you a record deal... and for 4 whole years? c'mon now. i think your suspicions are a little far fetched. and as far as ms. dalle cheating on tim with the guy from qosa, that's her business. she's not trying to make it anyone elses. so give the woman a little respect here.

also. the whole courtney love=brody dalle thing is so ridiculous. if everyone would just open up their eyes for a second they would see that they only have about 1 thing in common. they sound similar. ok big deal, she doesn't go out of her way to soudn like her! let's see. brody actually plays her guitar.

as you can see brody is very frank about her feelings. courtney love has kicked down a lot of doors in her career. and i happen to enjoy some of hole's early stuff. but i beg of you, stop comparing the two!

i agree that she is not a traitor. but as far as the brody/courtney comparisons...i think there's every right to compare the two...she wouldn't be interviewed about it (source of your quote) if there was nothing to talk about. i just think it's interesting...that's all. there is definitely a lot more than just the sound of their voice that's similar...

and as far as brody's quote...i agree that courtney can't play her guitar for shit, but dalle isn't exactly blowing anyone's mind with her guitar skills either, hence the need for their other guitarist...so i don't think her argument about that holds a whole lot of water...but it was nice of brody to make up for it with praise at the end. i don't think comparing the two girls is super important and deserves serious scrutiny...i am just fascinated by their similarities...and i'm still stressing the plural on that...

I seriously do think that Brody used Tim, its so unfortunate. I saw them in Houston last nite, and the people in the crowd were talking about it.. Its really bad, Tim treated her so great and all, and she used him. The first thing I thought of when she left Tim, was Courtney Love, I am a bit of a fan of CL, but when I read who killed kurt cobain, I think my fan of her dropped from 100% to about 32%.. She is annoying and she well as she says in the song VIolet "get what you want and she never wanted it again". took kurt's talent, used it to her advantage, then had him murdered.. Ok, CL, if you were so doggone smart and talented as you say that you are, why not kill kurt yourself and (take it on yourself as well) so. yea. Brody on the other hand, has talent, I believe that. Same thing for Courtney Love. Yeah, I noticed they kind of sound alike. And I happen to LIKE Hole. What does it matter? But saying CL was responsible for Kurt's death? WTF? Maybe you just forgot about that whole drug addiction thing coupled with an unstable, depressed psyche. Suicidally depressed people follow through with it all the time--Kurt Cobain just happened to be famous. Maybe the next time you start talking sh*t about Kurt and Courtney, you should consider their daughter who now has to grow up without a father and in the shadow of all that bullsh*t.

traitor or not (i really don't care)... denying the similarities between dalle and love seems pretty foolish... just because someone likes one and not the other doesn't mean the two aren't similar...

Dalle's personal life is her own, I agree, but it was still a shitty thing for her to let happen (her husband finding out through the press and not from her), I feel for tim but I still adore her. Oh yeah, I noticed how much she looks/sounds/kind of behaves like love too, I'm a fan of both but I think Dalle is a bit above Love talent wise.

i agree with you. tim must have been really upset to hear about his wife's affair through the media. but life does go on. and he has his friends who will support him i suppose. rancid seemed to be inspired by all of their recent troubles anyway, considering the title of their new album.
