then the point of being a part of an online forum, reading the posts, and responding to them is...

let me guess, the answer is beyond me.

I apologize for my reduced mental capacity.

Apology accepted.

Ah, the lovely battle of elitist assholes....just to end a cycle of pride-retainment that would undoubtedly continue into temporally adjacent milennia, i'll say okay, and do what I had hoped to do a few posts ago...."let it go".

"I Wanna Runaway"

Every time I think of Linkin Park, I think of the chorus to that song. I really don't see why anyone should take a band that not only recorded that, but allowed OTHER people to hear it, the least bit seriously.

However, since apparently they actually want us to do that, the fact is that they are modestly talented and something less than that in the songwriting department. That said, I can't think of a more beautifully conceived cash cow than Hybrid Theory. They were catching the kids at the tail end of N'Sync/Boy Bands, some of them were getting acne, and LP's pre-teen/teen angst was a nice way to keep a handle on them for a little longer.

Linkin Park does also have this quality of being in the forefront of discussion. They come up a lot in topics here, for example. That in and of itself could keep the band going for another album or two. If the product sells, perhaps longer. Korn has like 5-6 albums now, right?

I think Linkin Park is a pretty good band.

Rish you come here acting like nobody can compare to your intellect and don't even post the arguement. I'm actually curious to hear why they have talent and I've been checking back here the last couple days to see why they do, maybe I won't understand but please try. But for someone who doesn't give a shit about this arguement you seemed to post on this thread a lot.

Nice observation.....but like I said before, I'm not willing to elaborate all of my personal views that will lead up to understanding why Linkin' Park as actually achieved something masterfully. Unfortunately, I am horrible at explaining things, and so it would require me to perform such an elaboration, which I am, again, not willing to do.

so you don't mind if we start calling you a troll then right? considering it IS what you're doing... perpetuating an argument while never actually stating your views... i still can't tell wether you're a teenager who actually believes he's THAT knowledgable of music... or just an ass

Why would I mind? Did I mind when you all took the offensive on something that had nothing to do with you? Nah....
And, yeah, I'm just an ass.
