I don't hate linkin park nor do I like the damn band its just that they are a "If you hear one song you already heard the rest of the album" kind of band. Bands that have no musical variety just irritates me.

Have you guys ever tried to hear 2 of their songs being played at the same time? I was listening to the radio one day when their song "Numb" was played. I tried to sing along but their other song (Umm... I really don't know what the title is) with the lyrics "Everything you say to me takes me one head closer to the edge and I'm about to break" kept popping into my head. Since I couldn't get the other damn song out of my mind it was the other song that I sang. Lo and behold! They blended! It's as if the song I got in my head was the second voice or something like that.

CONCLUSION: Linkin Park's musical style haven't changed. They have been recycling the same old tunes and it's becoming stagnant and annoying. Can't they produce something different, refreshing and totally innovative. Hell! "Numb" is from their new album and that "other song" was, if I'm right, from their first album.

They haven't progressed. They are still using the same crappy music formula.

I have to agree with you on this one. But this isn't the main reason I dislike them. The main reason I don't like them is that their style does not appeal to me. Their style consists of: constant heavy powerchords, whiny emo-ish lyrics, simplistic progressions, basic rock drumming, and boring song structure (verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus). This style dominates the radio nowadays.
Now when I come across someone that does like this kind of music, I do not belittle them just because they like a different style of music then me. It's just a matter of opinion, and it seems nowadays, nobody can respect anyone else's opinion if it doesn't conform to their own.

I don't like Linkin Park either. The only track I like is "Session"; probably because it's so different compared to other LP songs.

Linkin Park's songs having an over-used recycled musical style isn't just the only reason why I cringe everytime I hear their songs being played on air. You just wrote down the OTHER reasons why I couldn't stand them Yup! You just described them down to the very last detail.

I thought that they could improve those flaws in their second album but lo and behold - they created a remixed clone. I thought that they could finally progress in their third released album but noooo.... They didn't.

Their lyrics are still crappy, their guitarists could not even deliver a decent tune without sticking to their constant powerchords and their singer still sings as if he belongs in a boyband.

Gad, I wonder what would Kurt Cobain say when he hears Chester sing and that Mike umm... something raps along.

I guess they were trying to be loyal to their own style. There's nothing wrong with sticking to your own kind of flavor but what if it sucks? What should they do then? They should IMPROVE or maybe CHANGE and this is the thing that I haven't seen them do.

There is always a room for improvement and I hope that they could bring out the little talent that I see in them. Yes, there is talent people, even if it is bleak.

Yeah but the reality is they aren't popular because they can "compose a song". They weren't chosen for a major label contract because they have boundless talent.

They are a front for a huge money-making machine. Their job is to perform one song twelve times per album in exchange for the temporary adulation of 12-year-olds. And maybe even a few dollars on the side.
