I actually like a few Staind songs, and a few from SOAD. I admit I am fond of both vocalists. But the truth is, that like LP, they only actually HAVE a few songs. The rest of them are rehashes of stuff they've already done. This is the affliction suffered by the whole of numetal. It's just that not all of it is as annoying or insultingly contrived as LP.

when Numetal came out originally, I thought it was a joke, I was like "wow, they can't write, play, OR sing..." Its wierd, but then everyone was taking them seriously and saying shit like "yeah man, their music is so DEEP man, I feel him y'know?" and then like 9 months later, when it was cool to hate NM, "man, their stuff is so UNoriginal" The problem is, that people follow each other in whether to like or dislike a band.
Also, most of their albums sound too similar. Tool fans dont have to like every Tool album because all there albums are so different musically, they reinvent themselves every time. I like Lataralus and Aenima, but dont like the first ones...
Bands like LP, Staind, LB aren't taking the time to try and reinvent themselves or expand musically, they just found the 1 style they can play, so they keep playing it... untill everyone wants to shoot themselves in the head.

I personally don't like them...

they suck musically, they have no talent, and my 12 year old brother can learn their songs by ear faster than they can write them......and they need to lose the gay rap stuff.........

you can't compare PJ to bands like Creed and Nickelback!!!!
The last two are sad mainstream rock bands, whereas PJ always manages to reinvent themselves!!!

well some people say they are, I guess not everyone can appreciate Ed's voice, and their music isn't the most revolutionary, but I like them...
