thankfully i saved my last response to this same question (sorry if this sounds harsh but this question gets asked every other week or so)... replace vocal with any other aspect of the music...
technically it IS possible to remove the vocals from a song but it'll sound like crap 99% of the time... the only way to properly remove the vocals from a song is to have access to the master recordings prior to the final mixing... once the song is finished the separate tracks cease to exist and (from a technical standpoint) all the individual sounds of the song become one unique soundwave...
the karaoke type progs that claim to be able to remove vocals do so by stripping a certain frequency range from the finished song... so anything that would be in the same frequency range would be cut or have its level significantly decreased (cymbals might sound like paper plates etc...) it might work on a song where the vocals really stand out from the music (like a generic techno/house song)... but i wouldn't use any software like that if wanted to be taken seriously as a producer...
in short... no it's not possible to remove everything but the drums...
