True. If you only had a few new CD's a month you'd appreciate them a lot more than if you had a few hundred new CD's a month.

Too many would wreck it all I reckon

Wow, 500 plus at the age of 15 is pretty impressive. At the age of 46, I have about 1000 CDs and something like 1500 LPs. You'll probably leave those numbers in the dust by the time you're 20, at this rate...

Yeah it's true, I atleast buy 3 cd's a week, almost all rock/proggressive/ or metal. I love music more than anyting, i never go anywhere without something to listen to. I always carry my 20 gig mp3 player "EVERYWHERE" i go.

Whew! That's almost frightening. I don't want to get "preachy" about this, but I do hope you're making a little time for silence in your life...

Yeah those 20 GB players are getting cheaper. When they get to 40 GB, I may pounce on one. That covers a 2-week vacation

There are about 200 CDs that I'm burning to own right at this very moment, but my financial situation has cut my CD-purchasing to about 1 ever few months. At this rate I'll never own everything I want. Plus, with every passing day/week/month my tastes just get broader and broader and my list gets longer and longer... Now I'm depressed, dammit.

Phew, some of you all have some massive music collections. I'm pretty picky (and cheap) about what cds I buy, but hopefully by the time I'm around 30, I'll have about 500. I'm 18 now, and I've got 130-140 cds and a bunch more music downloaded, but the whole college thing is putting a damper on my free spending cash. And no, I'll never have all the music I want. I think most of you will back me up on this one, but I've found that the more music I listen to, the more my tastes broaden, leading to even more music that I listen to...you get the idea.
