Did you burn it as an audio CD rather than a data CD? If you get a program to burn CD's called "Nero" it's all pretty straight forward and it will even burn mp3's into audio tracks.
If you have some basic program, make sure your audio files are WAV's and also make sure that you are burning the CD as an audio CD otherwise if you burn it as a data CD it will just be the actual WAV files on a disc and you won't be able to play it in a CD player.

one point that needs to be mentionned here... real networks is the devil... therefore the real audio files are not your friends... its one of those file types that once you go there you can't go back... you can uncompress a .mp3 to a .wav... but once you go .ram there's no way of going back to your source file type...

you can get plugins for winamp that would uncopress an mp3 into a wav but soundforge would probably do a better job...
unfortunately i think you're out of luck from the ram files though... you COULD try playing the ram file in real player and recording the output in another sound prog as a wav... it might work but i've got my doubts...
