most of american tecno hasn't achieved the level of their european conterparts, mostly when we talk about mainstream tecno.

currently there is plenty of great amercian electronic artists like osso bucco, nick cramer and others.

this is not about nacionality this is cultural so please do not take it wrong.

european hip hop hasn't achieved the level of american hip hop and i am sure they take it well.

You know, I try not to be prejudice about the origins of artists, (plz remember that most of early electronic music was developed in america), but most electronic music from america is kinda monotone, same sounding. Usually trance, big beat, breakbeat stuff, really boring. I guess im jsut looking at mainstream things, but it really seems like that. The modern things coming from Europe just tend to be more interesting. Overall Europe seems to be a more liberal, experimental place.

omfg if you guys havnt given this a good listen, by god you must!

Tiga - DJ Kicks (installment on !K7's Dj Kicks series.)

Tiga is a canadian Dj mostly influenced by European artists (mostly german) See what you think

PS. Playgroup's DJKicks is really good too.

PPS can i not post images?

The list is not bad but there are some absolute Howlers in there. E.g. Pieces in a modern style - William Orbit.... Now putting a few midi files of classical tunes through the a couple of synth presets is not musically that exciting/original or interesting. A good money spinner yes,....... a good album.............. Personally I don't think so. On the other hand Plaid are pretty interesting. Their recent re-mix album 'parts in the post' featuring remixes of Goldfrapp and Bjork has a few interesting pieces. It seems to me the focus of the list is more about cool and less about music.

we all have our interpretations and opinions about what is "music", so please, don't criticize us...Name some more that you would perhaps call "music" and would definitely name on this list...
