No replies? What a shame.

Going to see him and Dabrye on Thursday. I have no idea what to expect out of the live show, but it should be interesting.

I and equinox has uttered some words about him in the electronic section. It`s one of my favorite albums at the moment, but I think of it more like a electronic album than hip hop. Though it`s the hip hop elements that make it fresh. A shame that I missed him here this summer, should at least have catched him doing his craft.

Yeah, I think I posted in that thread a while back, or at least one just like it.

I tend to think of him as a bridge between many genres of music, but most notably IDM and turntablism. It kicks ass, in any case.

I really, really want to get Dabyre's Instrmntl album, though. It's a very large part of my motivation to go to this show.

as Haakon mentioned, I'm a big fan of the guy...try his other monikers Savath+Savalas (jazzy ambient) on Hefty records, and Delarosa+Asora (ClickCutty IDM) on Schematic records...

and on Dabrye...I have both Instrmntl and One/Three, and both of them are short and sweet...both are equal in my mind, you should check out his material under his real name Tadd Mullinix..."Panes" and "Winking makes a face" are both brilliant IDM albums...

Scott Herren is a genius, but it's funny how noone really knows about the group MachineDrum...their cutup hip hop IDM came out around the same time and was even more programmed than Sir Herren's stuff...check em out...any more info, just pm me

as i just said in the previous post, Machine Drum and a lot of the stuff on the Merck label based out of Miami, I do believe. Most of the albums are limited to only 1000 copies, so if you look into getting a copy, you better get it quick, don't wanna say too much about electronic music here since this isn't the place to do it...

Thanks, man. I'll definitely look for Tadd's other stuff. I was kind of disappointed because I couldn't get Instrmntl at the show; that album has been very difficult for me to find, for whatever reason.

The show was pretty incredible, too. I can't remember if you said before that you were going, or just thinking about it. It blew my mind, though. Scott was working all the electronics while another guy was spinning the turntables, and then they had a live drummer, who just brought the whole thing to life. So much more energy coming out of those drums than any machine could ever produce...I was groovin like a madman.

Anyone else who likes this stuff should not miss the opportunity to see them live.

well it's a show I would have loved to see, but alas, I don't have the money, nor the time to travel to chicago or atlanta (the closest locations)...I bet the live instrumentation was sweet too...Scott and Tadd both are great artists...
