Belle & Sebastian

Hey, what do you think about about Belle & Sebastian?
I like most of their melancholic beatlesque tunes very much.
Haven't heard their latest, Dear Catastrophe Waitress, but I hear everywhere that it's very good...
but I can't go and buy it directly because erm... it seems I bought nineteen cd's only in October, pretty excessive I'd say...

I love them. I honestly can't think of one song by them over the years that I haven't liked. I was and still am a huge Smiths fan so they were right up my alley when they first came out.

Belle and Sebastian...
i have their unique album by me:
The Boy With The Arab Strap,
probably the only album mixed / remembered with a different band :the Arab Strap
even in Alternative Nation on Mtv, Dirty Dream Number Two (by B&S from that album) is followed by Cherubs (by the Arab Strap)..
Tigermilk (their debut i think) has always been in my wish list,
even though i know a couple of songs off,
and the latest heard many good things.
(when they were awarded as the Best New Entry in 1998 (?) in Brit Awards,
the Steps expected 100% being awarded instead, blamed the Scotish to insert tricks into the issue.
But members of B&S just smiled these, and gone...)
i simply enjoy their tune...

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

I have "If You're Feeling Sinister" and I listen to it frequently. Great songwriting, unique sound. I have "Tigermilk" on my wish list too, but it may be a few years before I get it. Anyways, I like what I've heard of them.
