"Line in" refers to equipment that generates line level output. Typically +4 dBu(professional) or else -10 dBu(consumer) levels. This includes synths or synth boxes, samplers, FX boxes (Guitar pod etc.) and also the "line" out of microphone pre-amps, compressors, EQ units and any size mixing desk. You can plug low level -20 or mic level -45 to -65 dBu equipment into the input as well but the results are usually poor.

Hi there!
You can plug in:
Any Line level audio output.
TV, CD, Mixer, Synth, MD...
Just make sure you've got the right connectors.
Have fun!
