your little emotional problems aren't interesting enough to keep me in an arguement.

Thanks for the support, that's kinda part of what I was sayin', so thanks for noticin' that too....

His depression problems "MAY" have been medical, we'll never know. I'm bringing up the whole comfortable/loving lifestyle thing, cause' there's alot of people that suffer through a nightmarish existence day in and day out.....Rich people's problems will probably always pale in comparison to poor people's!!

[i] my great-uncle recently killed himself (also a self-inflicted stab wound to the chest). he had no tangible problems that other batchelors his age aren't able to deal with - his depression was a medical problem, which he spent his life struggling against, with the on-off aid of anti-depressants. He made a failed suicide bid in his teens, and survived. he led a miserable life, and lived on into his sixties. i would hardly call this the actions of a coward. he would probably have been better off if his original suicide bid was successful, and he fought bravely against his unhappiness for a very long time.[/b]

Sorry to hear about that.....

[i] BUT as you have said to the elliot smith fans, we don't know the chap personally THEREFORE we can't make judgements as to how difficult his struggle with depression was, or how cowardly he was. [/b]
|
Exactly! Only I think he or anyone else that kills themselves IS taking the easy way out. It's like somebody is sayin' somethin' to you that you don't like, and you take a pill to go to sleep. You don't have to hear it if you're unconcious....If life is a nightmare, it takes sooo much more courage to stick it out.

Elliot Smith kills himself
I call him a coward
You and the girl start gettin sarcastic and using words like sh!t, and ya know what, I'm the wrong guy for that $hit! You say somethin' I don't like and I'll tell you what I think about it!!!! And all'z I'm hearin' is 2 people that thought they knew the guy talkin' shit cause' I'm not cryin' a river....
I guess I'm catchin' some of his fans at a bad time, but my opinion is that suicide is the coward's way out, and you don't wanna hear it......Oh well,....you don't have to like it, but if you wanna talk $hit, we can just go back and forth at it...I don't care!!!!

Maybe you should whip out a dictionary and look up the word sarcastic.

There are million other people out there in this mess called the internet that are going to tell me and everyone else within earshot what they think. Why, in all your infinite wisdom, should I or anyone else give a flying fvck what you think. It might help if we had a few more people that knew when to keep their mouth shut. You still have that dictionary handy? Look up the word 'tact', figure it out, then use it.

Yes you were, so.....my response to that was what you get for bein' "sarcastic".....Don't like it? So what? Are you gonna cry now, or are you gonna keep beggin' for my response to these pu$$y-like remarks?

You don't have to give a "flying Fu*k"....I certainly don't care about you! You're such a pu$$y! See, I'm not gonna keep my mouth shut for you or anyone else! "Tact"? I don't need to use any "tact" with you, I don't like or care about you at all. As a matter of fact, you could go kill yourself right now! Either way, just keep runnin' your mouth if you want more of this......

Does it make you feel big inside to pick fights on the internet? Does waving your virtual c0ck around for people who don't give two sh!ts stroke your ego? I'm sure you feel big when you sit behind a few thousand miles of buffer zone. But ok, if you need it, you can have it. Enjoy.

you guys
come on
a life was lost and i don't think it matters how he died only that we cherish the music he gave us and his legacy.
I think we need to know the person before we make assumptions.
i just hope that wherever he is now if he is anywhere, he is happy.
Wouldn't it be weird if you saw his ghost.

That would be weird if you saw his ghost! I like ghosts too, and I've got a few of my favorite in my thread (homeless cop station)
They are true and they're fu*kin' scary!!!

Sad news about Elliot Smith. Seems a little odd to stab himself in the chest though...
