How to make CD tracks from one MP3?
Hi everyone, MP3-edit nooby here. Can anyone help me with this?
I have a single MP3 that I need to chop into different tracks for an audio CD, except that I need it to have no gaps. What is the best way to do this? I'm using Soundforge 6.0 and Nero 5.5. Basically I want the audio CD to sound like one long, continuous song but still have multiple tracks.. kinda like the Enigma albums.
Also, if I want to combine a number of MP3s into a single audio CD, also without the gaps, what is the best way to do this? I've used Nero to burn the CD without the default 2-second gap, but there is still a noticeable gap in between tracks. Also, the volume differs between the end of one track and the beginning of the next. Any suggestions?
Thanks everyone!

I've chopped up an mp3 to make a continuous CD a few times before but I did it using a Mac. I guess if you have a program that will cut audio files you'll have no problem. All you'll need to do (well this is how I did it...not too sure if you can do it and make it work though...you should be able to) is convert your mp3 into a wav file and then chop it into tracks and then just burn it as an audio CD.
I'm pretty sure Nero can burn CD's without gaps, even without small gaps.
Also with your second problem (I've also done this before but it was on a Mac again!!!), you should also covert your mp3's to wav's and then cut off the start and end of the audio tracks where there is no noise. If you want to make a track louder and softer there are programs which will do that too.
Sorry for sounding a little vague but I hope that helps you a bit.
