what do you think of Gomez? I've enjoyed their latest, In Our Gun, for a long time and now I've bought the first two records for the price of one. I really like their joyful, diverse style. Too bad I can't find a copy of the Machismo ep, such an amazing song, so difficult to find

what i've heard of them makes me wanna get down, get funky.

we haven't turned around reminds me of the beach, it's one of my most favourite songs ever, and that's quite the achievement, might i add.

ben ottewell's voice makes me swoooooon. so gravelly and rustic ehhehhe.

They have some good catchy songs but overall I find them a bit boring and tiring. They're not my style...

I don't know, usually I listen to pretty melancholic music, all very sad stuff, but this is one of the few bands that is now and then able to make me happy. Pavement is another one

I love gomez. Bring It On is my fav album of theirs.
I haven't seen them live but I have heard they are the gear.

Gomez rule IMO. There was a period of about 6 months when they were my favourite band ever, then turin brakes took over. I really like they that they not only use some quite experimental ideas but incorporate blues into their music, and that just rocks ... so to speak.

Sorry but I think TB is awfully boring except for The Underdog song.

I really like some of the stuff of the first album that got me interested, especially Underdog: that song is just ace. The second one isn't so good though.

That first one might be alright, but imho Gomez is just way better (and very different)
