Broadcast
anyone heard of them?
they just have a delicious new album out, Haha Sound
really mellow, spacey background music with a sweet female voice on top of it, sort of Lamb in its quietest moments (Gabriel, What Sound) but somehow different

well this band is quite mellow, laidback, with nice electronic effects in the background and very nice, though quite distant

Broadcast has been out for awhile now, it's funny how they really don't fit the electronic nomenclature, yet the majority of their albums have been released by Warp

well, let me speak again...Warp has put out albums by the new up and coming artists of the years it seems and, to me, Broadcast is great, but just fit weird on the label, guess I could've said that about Plone's "Beginner Piano" album as well...I guess I fit the whole "IDM" thing with Warp, when there's been more of a variety the past few years *shrugs* it's a bit hard to explain.

I don't know, I prefer the more song oriented music above electronic experimentalism which would be, I guess, more your thing.

when you say "song oriented" I can only assume you mean "with lyrics"...because anything that Autechre, Aphex, or BOC makes is a song, right?
