its funny because I usually like abstract things, but I compare it to some of Ornette Coleman's free jazz experiments, and that is just something I'm not too fond of...as I said earlier, I will give it another listen

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

Yes, it is early Jack Dangers & co. A little forewarning though: most Meat Beat Manifesto fans cite 99% as the project's worst album.

I think it's f*cking incredible.

It's industrial/EBM, in the same vein as Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb, yet utterly unique. There's nothing else that sounds like it.

When I made my list, I didn't choose the 10 albums that I respect the most, but the ones that I listen to more than any others. 99% is my crack.

well, I remember seeing a video they did for "Helter Skelter"...it was one of the first videos I had ever seen that did the panoramic photography, I think that's what it's called. You know where they take cameras and put them all in a circle and then freeze frame an object so you can see it in mid air, ala The Matrix...well, anyway, getting to my point. I see the intro for the Howard Stern show and I'll be damned, they stole a sequence from the video it seems...maybe i'm delusional

Looks like AIC - Dirt wll be the top album. Though I`ve allways liked them, it`s a bit strange, not one of the usual giants.

I agree, a tad suprising, kinda happy to see it getting respect though. One hell of an album.

"Dirt" is good, but it's not THAT good! It had its day, and then the world moved on. I liked it a lot back when it came out, but it doesn't really have staying power. At least not for me. But I guess I'm alone on this one... (No hard feelings to those who voted for it.) But I honestly thought the top album would be something by Pink Floyd, the Stones, Dylan or The Beatles - not Alice in Chains.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out...
