"... the place where the skin meets the skin..."
There's no way anyone knows this, but I figured I'd give it a shot just for kicks. I'm looking for the single darkest, most insane song ever made. A bold statement, but you'd agree if you heard this song. Unfortunately, not many people have, and I've been unable to find it for over 10 years.
It's fairly long - over 10 minutes in length, maybe 15 or 20. The singer sounds like a madman. There are these blood-curdling, feral screams that remind me of werewolves, something like that. I'm pretty sure it's guitar/drum-based, but there's this ominous chugging beat that sounds almost industrial. I rememer patches of lyrics:
"He's the father of the earth..." (or maybe it's "I'm the...") - this is repeated often in the song.
"This is the place, the place where the skin meets the skin and the skin goes in..." - this is part of a section that sounds psychotic; not in a wild way, but in a genuinely insane way.
I heard the song for the first time back in 1992. It was on a cassette, and I think I remember the label having a date of 1986 on it - but of course, no artist or title information.
Anyways, this one's impossible, so I don't expect anyone to know it. It's just too bad that what may be the darkest, most insane song ever made is lost to the ages.

This is a long shot, but could the band be "Mr. Bungle"? That is the closest thing I could think of.
Well if it isn't, listen to some Mr. Bungle, it's a great band. (And Mike Patton is a mad man)
Could you narrow it down to the type of music it is? (Death Metal, Progressive Metal, Industrial, etc.)

Mr Bungle is a good guess.. but I think what horak is describing is way more insane. Almost sounds like skinny puppy? or maybe dimmu borgir - but they were not around back then..
If you ever figure it out, i'd like to hear it! Too bad rob zombie doesnt frequent this board !

Thank you both for your input. It's definitely not Mr. Bungle, but I can see why you would think that.
I've been trying to think of a genre, but I can't come up with one. It's got elements of goth, industrial and metal, but I wouldn't place it in any of those categories, and it may even be a precursor to at least the first two. It was on a mix with Frank Zappa's "The Torture Never Stops", so maybe it's related in some way to that genre or type of music. In parts, the guy sounds like Genessis P. Orridge from Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV - but only in parts, and I'm positive it's not him.
Thanks again!

I was nervous and had a bad chill when I first heard the song you refer to. My friend and I played it a couple of times in my dorm room but it made me feel sick and out of control. I felt very certain that something incredibly evil had been recorded and in playing the tape, we were giving it life. At the time, we were experimenting with a benign speedball of espresso and high powered marijuana which may have added to our sensitivity to the recording. I would like to revisit the song and see if it still scares the hell out of me 17 years later. Did you ever find out the name or artist?
Listened to bill evans with very early
