Perhaps its the colour of the sun-capped flag uncovering
The crossroads Im standing at
Or maybe its the weather, or something like that.
But Mama, you been on my mind.

I dont mean trouble, please dont put me down or get upset, I am not pleading
Or saying I cant forget you.
I do not pace the floor, bowed down & bent but yet,
Mama, you been on my mind.

Although my eyes are hazy & my thoughts they might be narrow, where you been dont bother me
Or bring me down with sorrow.
I dont even mind who you'll be waking with tomorrow.
But mama, you been on my mind.

When you wake up in the morning, baby, look inside your mirror; oh, you know I wont be next to you,
You know I wont be near
Id just be curious to know if you can see yourself as clear,
As someone who has had you on his mind.

Not Bob Dylan's cleverest lyrics by a long chalk, but there's something really nice about this very simple love song.

happy by red lorry yellow lorry(lyrics : Reed)
talk about the weather lp / take it all 7"

have you been above the ocean
have you been below the sky
you know there are a thousand notions
and yet you ask the reason why

i'm happy, happy, happy, yes i'm happy

you always ask the same questions
you always tell the same lies
you're looking for a reason
and yet I see no surprise

that i'm happy, happy, happy, i'm happy

have you been above the ocean
have you been below the sky
you know there are a thousand notions
and yet you ask the reason why

i'm happy, happy, happy, yeah i'm happy

That's too damn happy !

Kate, you will have to hear the song to believe he is nowhere near "happy".

Kraftwerk - Pocket calculator

I'm the operator with my pocket calculator
I'm the operator with my pocket calculator
I am adding and subtracting
I'm controllingand composing
I'm the operator with my pocket calculator
I'm the operator with my pocket calculator
I am adding and subtracting
I'm controlling and composing
By pressing down a special key ,
It plays a little melody
I'm the operator with my pocket calculator
I'm the operator with my pocket calculator

The music makes up for the lyrics .

I really love the lyrics of Oasis' 'Married with Children'. Plain, simple and joyful. Eventhough if this song would be sung by some other singer/voice, I doubt if I'd like it that much. Hooray for Liam.

I've gotta get over
I've got to get better
Will love you forever
I've gotta find genius
I've gotta get better
I've gotta stop smoking
I've gotta get better

Caramel Caramel...

Where is the magic?
I've gotta get better
Oh lord give me magic
I'll love you forever
I've gotta find mounts hill
And live by the mountains
I'll love you forever
You are...And you are...

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.
