This might explain it all.

i was just re-reading things and well...

yes... thriller and bad were ahead of their time... but dangerous came out in 1992... to claim that it featured some of the first rap ever is SO wrong it's not funny...

. I think maybe he means some of the first to get a very large world wide audience. I can only assume that dangerous sold better worldwide than previous actual rap albums. so maybe it just presented some random people in Nepal with their first taste of rap

perhaps... but MJ is not what i'd call a rapper... and dangerous is not what i'd call a rap album... and by the time 92 rolled by dj jazzy jeff and the fresh prince were on their way out... run dmc and public enemy had been going strong for nearly a decade and still were... NWA had come and gone... de la soul was gaining popularity... the beastie boys were on the scene too...

and who can forget grandmaster flash starting out in the late 70s? the furious five? the sugarhill gang?

shit... the world got it's first taste of rap on a pop record from 92... **** that...

I never even said it was a rap album. My dad told me this so maybe he was wrong. Judging from what you said, he obviously is. I know MJ can't rap, he's never rapped in his life. He got the Biggie and loads of other rap artists to feature in his music. So maybe I was wrong.

It's not that I don't know much about them (which I don't) but there's a reason. It's not my taste of music... at all. Their music deafens me with its appalling sound when there's other music listen to.

CuriousOne why aren't you a fan?

I can hack it that others don't like MJ sometimes- but some others that don't know about what he has done, his life, his past etc. Maybe you do but are just too blid to see past the media stories?

I really do find it irritating when someone doesn't like MJ. It's cos I am a fan, and being a fan of someone is almost being like a distant friend or a supporter of him, and when someone is negative about him I just naturally say it. Maybe that's just me.

I don't think you understood her. MJ and Mozart are from different genres of music.

Mozart is classical, MJ is pop/rock. So it's a bit silly to compare them when people have different tastes in music genres. It's just down to taste.

I know that Mozart is a true legend, but in my opinion MJ is also- I prefer MJ cos I prefer his TYPE of music.

Well when did CuriousOne ever say the thought that MJ was the VERY best of ALL music?
