yes people sue each other for really stupid reasons in the states... and people would sue a celebrity at the drop of a hat if they had a chance because most will cave instead of taking the bad press... BUT 13 million is a whole lot of settlement... if the kid was lying and the court still awarded him 13M something is really wrong with jackson's legal team... and if he was really innocent he could have also pressed charges for defamation of character... while it's true that a celebrity suing a family isn't cool he could have chosen to ask for a public apology clearing his name instead of financial compensation... but he didn't... he gave them 13 million reasons to shut the **** up about something

see that's the problem... NO ONE gets to have their cake and eat it too... it doesn't matter who you are or how close you think you are to actually getting away with it... it does NOT happen...

so he missed out on his childhood... boo hoo... shittier things happen to better people everyday... his lack of childhood is the reason he became the king of pop... it's like the yin and yang... or like butthead said "you gotta have stuff that sucks to have stuff that's cool"...

yes... better people... as in the ones who accept that crap happens and move on instead of trying to re-live the past...

he WAS great... and he could be great again if he ever gets his head on straight and accepts what it is that made him... re-living his childhood is not the answer to his current problems...

If anything, Michael is trying to move on, trying to move away from the media, the stories, his father. He is still a great person- he always will be.

And he also gave the rest of the people 13 Million reasons to do it again. Let's face it, it wasn't one of his smarter moves. Maybe he should've fought it. But he didn't. The courts didn't award crap. Michael handed it over because he didn't want to go to court and have pictures of him naked shown all over the place. Yes, the guy is modest. So what? I don't think I'd particularly like to have nude photos of me showen in court with the press there. 13 million was worth it to him not to do that. His legel team warned him to fight it and he didn't listen. It still doesn't make him a molester. Without this ONE kid the DA didn't have any evidence and had to drop it - all the others they interviewed got nothing from Michael and STILL they didn't give the DA ANYTHING because there isn't anything to be had.

i agree it was a bad move on his part... and i'm sure if it got to the point where nude images would be shown the legal team could have gotten some measure of privacy so that only the few people that actually NEEDED to see anything would... but it didn't happen... and the payoff only paints him into a darker corner...

i really don't care wether or not he molested a child... really i don't... i still think he's washed up... his behavior is what killed his career and the only person he can blame for his behavior is himself...
