Not true, the owner of Sony co. wanted to buy the Beatles catalogue from Michael, but Michael refused to, so Sony decided not to let MJ release any more songs from his last album.
The album sold 14 million, that is impressive since the album has no promotion whatsoever.
I don't know how you can believe what you said so strongly if you have no facts to back it up.

Those are impressive numbers for his worldwide sales. But, the reason he sells well in Bulgaria but not the U.S. has nothing to do with the music. He has turned himself into a public freak and his money has insulated him from getting the help he needs.
People recognize this fact and respond accordingly. He could release the best album of all time but it would still be ignored probably. And he has no one to blame but himself. I own his first two albums and think they were brilliant, ahead of their time and the work of a man far outstripping his colleagues. But, his music isn't that good to me anymore. I listen to it and it sounds like anything else on the radio. He has stopped leading and has started following which is evident in his desire to use every hip producer available for his new album where as he used to produce them himself.
When he wrote Thriller he was all about the music. He was obsessed with it. He has spent recent years indulging himself and resting on his past success. He has done nothing but isolate himself from the music community and rarely acts as if he is on this planet for the most part. So, if nothing else, the music just isn't as good. Nothing on Invincible comes close to a 'Billy Jean' or anything else. His fans now are just so obsessed with him that they act like everything he does is incredible.
Sorry for the speech, I just didn't want to diss him without some explanation. I respect him for what he has done in the past and his place in music history is secured, but using Sony, The Beatles, the press or anything else as an excuse for his 'First World' demise is silly. Again, he brought all of this on himself.

You know NiftyGibbon, not everyone and everything is what you believe. People don't all act the same and don't follow certain rules. You really don't seem to understand any of this at all. Things in this world aren't just black and white and the quicker you learn this the better.

I believe what I know to be true, not what you think I should believe.
Now to the more valid comment...
Aladinsane, yeah but his face, the stories etc- he did bring some of it upon him, but it HAS made him more famous, and people would have got bored of him if he kept his music, etc. the same. His Thriller and Bad music was ahead of its time, and so was Dangerous- it featured some of the first rap music to the world. HIStory- the biggest selling double-CD album ever, showed not only his music talent but his writing talent. I personally still find him just as inspiring as ever.
I was born around the Dangerous era, and I loved his music ever since, not knowing of his old music. I thought Earth Song was a cracking song, and so was You Rock My World. Other people may not feel the same, but I do.

"what have you done for me lately" seems to be the prevailing sentiment here. Thriller, arguablly Michael's greatest achievement is also his nemisis. Oh - but he's not been able to beat it or even come near it again. Never mind neither has anyone ELSE (on a world wide basis - we know the Eagles (and appearently if judged by the same standards set to Michael - they also suck now) run neck and neck with Thriller in sales in the USA). So was he SOOO smart as people claim? Maybe not. Maybe he should've released those songs a little at a time then he'd have that "staying power" people accuse him of not having now. Yeah, he got what he wanted.. or did it get him? He's still a great artist. The industry salivates at the mere thought of signing him because we all know - he sells. That he's not performed lately has nothing to do with it. So he burned out and decided not to perform for a while... Slaughter the guy for it why don't you? I don't see to many of the "stars" of the 80s still out there today. Yes, a few - but not really that many. As for his skin - I believe him about the vitilego because I've seen black people with it. It makes his skin that ghostly white and there's NOTHING he can do about it.
Am I a fan? NO, I don't think I am. I always admired him. He's a great tallent, he does kind hearted things for people who he could easily turn his back on - he does it w/o any expectations of anything in return, and he's very strong in a world that demands him to conform and he refuses. Good for HIM.
Folks - I'm and adult and I STILL like to climb trees and ride amusement rides. If liking childhood things was so damned weird why is it that amusement parks are still so popular? with many of the rides designed for adults or at least young adults?
I don't think he's a child molester. I think if he was there would be more people coming forward. The Bashir interview opened the door real wide for anyone who wanted to try to accuse him to walk right through it and do so. There has been a RESOUNDING silence to that. The mere fact that no one else has accused him speaks VOLUMES about how he REALLY is. Lord knows he's the easiest target in the world if someone wanted to toss that at him again.

Notice that no one complained that there was no
"Love him, hate his music"?
That proves that no matter what, everybody respects his music over him.

So, how would you explain the 13 million dollars the family of that little boy got? What do you think he paid them for? Do you think that the kid was a liar when he said he could identify MJ's "privates"? If he was lying, wouldn't MJ's lawyers take them apart? Would they hire forensic scientists to discredit the little boy's testimony? He went to fukin' court over that $hit! Would the state prosecuter take him to court unless there was sufficient evidence? No.....He got accused because he's a fukin' sick-o!!!

Yes - I'm calling the now adult a LIAR.
And Homeless Cop - this is the USA where you can sue anyone for anything at any time and they will be forced to defend themselves. I guess Michael thought in time people would see that he's no molester - and in ALL this time no one else has accused him and we know hundreds of kids have been to Neverland.
So - are you saying all the kids who've been there and say he's not done anything are Lieing? Emanual Lewis, McCaulley, and the hundreds of others are Lieing and this ONE kid is telling the truth?

No............ he got accused because his father didn't like his son going to Neverland and being friends with Michael Jackson.
Michael has been making music ever since he was 5, and missed out on a childhood, so instead of forgetting that, he's living his childhood now, friends with children. He can see the childhood he missed through the joy of their smiling faces.
Through this, he can re-live the childhood that he missed himself.
"Have you seen my childood,
have you seen the world that I come from,
Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart, then ask,
Have you seen my childhood?"
Michael Jackson - Childhood
