my iPod cost £300 and is 20GB. Apple say thats 10,000 songs but I say closer to 5 (I like high quality). Size roughly 2 1/4 inches wide; 4 inches long; 1/2 inch deep. I'm sure the exact sizes are on apple.com.

As for finding songs: so long as you got them organised (correct names, genres, albums) its really not a problem. You can search on it but just scrolling down is easy enough.

It's good having a long lead for your headphones because then you can store it in your backpack and still be able to listen to it! They always give you crappy headphones though no matter what type of portable player you get.

And Musicmatch is a crap program...a lot of other programs work with the ipod though so perhaps you could get something else? I know iTunes works with the iPod.

Bora: Don't get that iRiver one...an ipod is a lot better...even the iRiver SlimX is a lot better IMO.

I've heard great things about the i-pod. The only downside is that they are pricy.

They're actually cheap for a HD player...

People need to look around more. The Nomad Jukebox ZEN has much more bang for its buck. The iRiver models also offer much more features for around the iPod's price. Both come highly recommend over the iPod.

Really? I'd much rather an iPod over my iRiver. The only thing better about my iRiver is that it plays CD's as well as mp3's.

So how much does the Nomad ZEN sell for compared to the iPod?
