OK, sorry if this is absolutely rediculous but I really want to find out what song this is and I don't have much to go by. I think it was a very popular song a few years ago and I heard it on an HBO "new season" promo.

The song sort of sounds a bit like Oasis but it has a great symphony section. I don't really know any of the lyrics but I am going to substitute from memory of 3 years ago...

Chorus:

The words are very wrong I'm sure but the last word in the last line is belted and carried for a while. At least one bar.
