He is a legend, you can't deny it. There is a reason why many people don't like him, and that's because he is eccentric, but the media exaggerate this. It's such a foolish thing for you people to believe the press. You're just like everyone else I know.

There are such people as Michael Jackson fans, and they are fans because they know MJ for who he really is.

He is the artist who has produced millions of dollars for charity. The highest charity-giving pop star in the world, fact, look at the guinness book of records. He has made 7 songs which show his care for the world-
We are the World, Man in the Mirror, Heal the World, Earth Song, They Don't Care About Us, Cry and his new song What More Can I Give.


He is the most talented pop star on earth. He can dance, he has an amazing distinctive voice, and he writes almost all of his music.

Don't judge him by what the media says about him.
Give him a chance and you'll see the man in a new light.
Don't give him a chance and I recommend you burn in hell.

Didn't 'Black or White' come out over 10 years ago? Do you call that recent/new? That's like saying Elvis only died the other day!!!

Anyway, you say we shouldn't judge people through the media, but what are you doing?!? Unless you know him personally (which I doubt) that is exactly what you are doing yourself saying that he is friendly etc!

As for him being a legend, I'd say that he was a legend...and that's being kind.

Oh yeah, and the reason I don't like him and so many other people don't is because we don't appreciate his music.

He made two good albums and that's it. He was an amazing talent but his personal life has officially eclipsed his professional one.

I know he has released albums over the years but the stuff he has done since 83 has been lame imo.

He is so unappreciated for his time, when he's dead you'll realise how great he was.

No I don't know hm personally, but you are missing the point. Have you read articles about him in the newspaper? Nearly all of them are over-exaggerated to suit the public. Have you seen anything positive the press have said about him? I haven't. The press only publish the negative, exaggerated stuff to make the newspaper more interesting.

You never see an article saying "Michael Jackson is going to LA to visit a little girl who is dying of cancer, and her last wish is to meet Michael"

I am a fan of Michael so of course I know whether he is a kind person, I know all about him. Yes he is eccentric, and yes he has had plastic surgery. But I bet you would like him more if he kept his face as normal wouldn't you. But no, just because it's Michael Jackson the wacko, you have to go along with what everyone else says.

True, the media tend to sensationalise: just look at that most recent show in the UK, and then the documentary arter it on chaneel 5. It was editted to make MJ look crazy.

But to be honest, if you just reject everything you read or here in the media you are esentially the stupid one.

I've allways found it a bad idea to merit albums because of a few select songs, but yes MJ has written some fair songs since the glory days of Bad, but it isn't particulary brilliant work.

I respect him, he's a shrewd buisnessman, but he nicked widows off xerox and DOS off someone else, and then tred to monopolise the market by integrating programs into windows ... that probably isn't all Bill's doing though.

in terms of the slanted view from the media... didn't jackson produce his own tv special not too long ago to show things from his point of view... and didn't it turn out to be even creepier than the mass media version?

and in terms of printed news... sure the media makes him look like a lunatic... but where do you get the info about his charitable work? that press is just as slanted in the other direction trying to make him look good in the public eye...

and the earnings from the dangerous show... were those profits that went to charity? or was it a legal obligation due to missed performances where he wouldn't have to pay a fine if he donated the cash...

having said all this i still like michael jackson's music... at least when he was a black man... the hermaphrodite alien doesn't do much for me... maybe it should try working with marilyn manson... some sort of super androgynous media pop rock freak out...
