it could be a part of a set,
just a couple of sentence,
or the whole...
your fav lyrics worth to appreciate...

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

Have you heard the lyrics of sao palo rain and second law by tom mcrae. They're brilliant. Perhaps the first one isn't heart-melting, but it's so powerful.

i think jarvis cocker and nick cave are excellent song-writers @all.
every sentence they might build up is a kick to your heart,
ok a bit exaggerated but they are truly tough in this sense...
here's one i want to share:

...
You are the last drink I never should have drunk
You are the body hidden in the trunk
You are the habit I can't seem to kick
You are my secrets on the front page every week
You are the car I never should have bought
You are the dream I never should have caught
You are the cut that makes me hide my face
You are the party that makes me feel my age
Like a car crash I can see but I just can't avoid
Like a plane I've been told I never should board
Like a film that's so bad but I've got to stay till the end
Let me tell you now: it's lucky for you that we're friends.

I can't do this anymore
i am rotten to the core
and I can't seem to pull myself back out.
directly facing to the east
i have the number of the beast
i'm hiding in the shadow of a doubt

i'm lieing to myself
saying that i'm ok
I say that things are fine
in abstract ways
i build a tunnel to get me though the day
this think i'm running from
got to know what it is

I cant do this anymore
i am the problem not the cure
and i dont know what i'm supposed to do
maybe i'm just paranoid
but i can seem to fill this void
i lost myself when i lost faith in you

ok..maybe not heart melting...maybe just depressing drivel...or complete shite....but i always liked these lyrics for some reason....you dont have to...so there.

some lyrics of my own

this is from a song I wrote some time ago... some of it sounds stupid without the melody..

Laura.. oh, Laura
I try and everything goes gray
you know I love you, but it seems so hard
I reach out, can't find the words to say

oh my loved one.. dusk has fallen
the light has gone away to me alone
the sun that sighs down on the things we done
the things we do, and can't forget
(hummed)

bridge:

I dreamed I woke and faced the light
and paced the long black hallways, waiting..
and when I woke turned towards the light
the cruel dawn and the cold brightness falling..

I can’t explain… sometimes I feel so thin
bitter cigarettes down by the beach at dawn
or sitting singing strangers all my songs
you’re the only one I couldn’t analyze
all these years we’ve walked the line

Laura walking.. against the wind.
beneath my eyelids, sheltered from the storm
before the dawn's light pierces through these lonesome shores
the empty stairwells echo, someone's following me.
the long bleak spaces of my dreams.

Don’t leave me Laura stay
The hall is silent shadows on the wall
I lie in bed and listen to the dark wind blow
There’s no one left perhaps there never was
No one to understand, to lay me down

I always liked the lyrics of In My Life (Lennon/McCartney):

There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

In my life I love you more

Grace (1994)
Grace

There's the moon asking to stay
Long enough for the clouds to fly me away
Well it's my time coming, i'm not afraid to die
My fading voice sings of love,
But she cries to the clicking of time
Of time

Wait in the fire...

And she weeps on my arm
Walking to the bright lights in sorrow
Oh drink a bit of wine we both might go tomorrow
Oh my love
And the rain is falling and i believe
My time has come
It reminds me of the pain
I might leave
Leave behind

Wait in the fire...

And I feel them drown my name
So easy to know and forget with this kiss
I'm not afraid to go but it goes so slow
