I have that album Mysterian and it's DJ Peabird, not Piebird. This may have came out in 2002, but don't discount the albums "Vocal Studies + Uprock Narratives" by Prefuse73 that came out in June 2001 (not to mention the estrocaro 12" in 2000), and Machinedrum's "Now you Know" in February 2001...or maybe even Push Button Objects release in 1999 "A Day in the Life"...

There are so many others pre-de luca/peabird.

And yes, Funkstorung were never really big over here, so that's why I called it underrated.

Me fool ... i have "Studies + Uprock Narratives" by Prefuse 73 ... i always thought it was released after it ..... sorry for that mistake. Perhaps because i bought it after that one. And hey .... they are called Funkstörung or Funkstoerung but not Funkstorung or Funkstrung.... (do take the last one to serious)

We Americans don't use oomlauts (sp?), therefore that's why I didn't use it
