I like the trippy psychedelic tracks 'Mello Hippo Disco Show' , 'Goodbye Sky' & 'Osho' .

The Odd Toot "Bampot"
Closest comparison would be Squarepusher of the mid 90's and mixing in a more funky jazziness to it...something I would recommend. Nice breaks, drill n' bass material.

I'm sorry, I have to commend this album again. I pulled it out just recently and I'm still in shock. Jochem Paap was primarily just a techno artist for Warp and Novamute in the early 90's and then he shifted a bit towards the experiments of the time when he came out with "public energy no. 1" (as david velez mentioned earlier in the thread). It holds the basis for this aforementioned album above and the most remarkable thing about it is that he's relatively good at whatever style he chooses. With these 2 albums he created something that is completely different than really anything i've ever heard then and even now. (has since went back to more of a minimal techno type form) It's not blistering fast, it's not really slow either. Just a continual groove with atmospherics and hard hitting emotional action.

Komet- Flex
Who would've known that something from the Raster-Noton label could be this groovy? Frank Bretschneider has mastered most of the art of sound manipulation through pulses, feedback, and sine waves and this one seems to be a bit different. Most of his Komet material is heavily repetitive, yet this one seems to change with each song. Sounds like something Alva Noto (carston nicolei) would produce if it was louder. Grooves like Noto's "Transform" but has a whole lot more elements. Headphones are a must.

Multiphonic Ensemble- Cirque
I never thought I would hear circuit bent instruments, drum n bass, and even fiddle playing within the same album, much less the same song. This is probably one of the most creative albums I've EVER heard and probably will ever hear. Incorporates piano, circuit bent instruments, free jazz elements, fiddle, drum n bass/jungle type programming and even ambient work at times...something I've never heard of before. Yoshihiro Hanno, what an artist.

speedy J, komet, and cirque all sound very interesting from your reviews.
I have some songs from speedy j on a novamute compilation, but they are okay.
komet is doing something along the line of alva noto, I like that check that out. I have heard some of the materials from komet way back in the late 90's but I didn't like it that much. I guess it was just me being slow as usual.
