Yeah, some of their live material isn't bad but none of the other albums were very good.

really? i remember raving

to their "neue frankfurter elektronik schule" records back in the old days and that was a lot of fun.

been almost 2 1/2 years...time to revive this thread with:

Surface 10 'Surface Tensions'

coming back to this album, I really found how nice this really is. Dean de Benedictis (aka Surface 10) was/is a great ambient producer and with this album, he definitely stepped outside of what was the norm for him to create a beautifully crafted ambient IDM album full of guitar, groovy beats, strings, warm pads, etc...
