Scientific American "Strong for the Future"

If you think of the cut up hip hop aesthetic of machinedrum, the clicks and cuts of alva noto, and enough hip hop mixed electronics to make your mind explode, you get this group. Too bad that this is their only release to date, but hopefully we'll hear more from them. Highly underrated on the Hip Hop/Experimental label Mush (home to cLOUDDEAD). Recommended.

Ulf Lohmann "Because Before"

The only two albums I can compare with this are William Basinski's "The disintegration loops I" and Andrew Deutsch's "Loops over Land". I think is the most ambient release I've heard on Germany's Kompakt label so far. Beautiful gem circa 2001. Recommended.

Juming in and out real quick. I wasn't hear so no heart attacks, but I can see your point.

That might have been too much.

Who was that masked Satchmo?

Satch, did that have anything to do with the Ulf Lohmann album? I'm confused, sorry.

I don't know if it's overrated or not but

NORDHEIM TRANSFORMED by biosphere and deathprod is like the best album i have heard in a while -i know it's from 98 but i just had it-. it is everything i want from music.

Well, if you like that album, you should check out the two albums by Arne Nordheim on Rune Grammofon. 'Electric' and 'Dodeka'.

AROVANE - ATOL SCRAP! i really find that it is rarely ever talked about, but that's probably just me. scrap just combines everything i like about structures in music. there is minimal, abstract and glitch experiences that mold together to form this very disconnected atmosphere. it's really just like entering the mind of a machine.

Well, most people have heard of Arovane, and the my point about this thread was to list people that otherwise you would never hear about, or post albums on here that are in the background of a famous artist's catalogue. Perhaps Atol Scrap fits this since "Tides" is generally the one most talked about.
