ahh yes of course...Form and Function is basically a remix album of "Modus Operandi", and yes, Solaris was terrible, a freaking disgrace

has anyone listened to Moby's "Little Idiot"? God, it's so amazing...

makes me feel weird saying that anything Moby has done is amazing, but if anyone can get a copy, please do...may be a bit hard since it was a special release with "animal rights", but just hit me up if you'd like one...

I just want to go on record as saying that there are few things I despise in this world more than Moby's "Play". For a year or more in the late 90's, every time I turned on the television or radio I was being sold a new Internet site or technology gadget to the tune of a track from "Play". It got to the point that Moby and the anti-christ were indistinguishable in my mind. Artists have sold out before, but I've never seen anyone do it to this level. He's the epitome of the type of artist I hate. In the wake of all this, "Play" has become the soundtrack of choice for rich yuppy assholes. Starbucks, BMW's, golf and Moby's "Play" are cherished equally among them. Plus, he's a pretentious asshole. F*ck that guy.

ya know, I completely agree with you there, but damn didn't he make the money? probably made more money than any "techno" guy ever has unless you count Paul Oakenfold's countless remix cd's (that aren't original whatsoever) or IDM's King Pioneer Aphex Twin...

...but if you're in a somber mood and you want to listen to some nice ambient piano music "Little Idiot" is the cd for you, and also his "The End of Everything" by his moniker Voodoo Child

Moby didn't write play to sell out. If anything it was a bit of a risk mixing old time blues with techno based music. If anything the media just blasted it into the stratosphere and therefore it sold buckets.

I cannot listen to a single track off it any more!

However Moby DID sell out with the next album as it sounded like PLAY II. ANd if he had followed his own pattern it would have been completely different from the last album!!
