you said you're intermediate? then you could try :

jimmi hendrix - foxy lady

a lot of fun to play, and so simple too... will also aid you in your learning of blues scales

mother love bone - stardog champion

very funky, very easy.

the monkees - im a believer

very easy rythm part, about three chords in total for the whole song.... also makes a nice "party piece" since its a well known song.
Once you've learned your pentatonic scales and what-not ,this is a very nice song to improvise lead parts for

i just started playing my guitar again recently (getting out of the worse rut i've ever experienced...) but the song that made me want to pick it up again and play along was 'paranoid android' by radiohead... it sounds a lot tougher to play than it actually is and it's fun to freak out on the heavier parts hehehe... i think i'll re-learn 'just' too...

'Just' is a fun song to play.

I've been figuring out a lot of Steve Miller Band songs. They're really easy and fun to play.
