Stereo lowdown

Hi!
Just bought one of those micro stereos (Panasonic SA-PM18) to fit into my 8m^2 room, and I just have to say that this is impressive! It packs a fair punch but the detail is amazing, even better than my AKG headphones (my first impression).

As the title suggests, this isn`t just a small rant. I just realized how important the hi-fi is, so I`m curious to know what sort of stereo are playing it for you?

I have the formentioned and another normal one. Sherwood CD and amplifier, and Avance speakers ($1600 ($600 at discount ) about 10 years ago). My brother is borrowing this as he got the 18m^2 room.

I've kind of built my own stereo so I have a Yamaha reciever, a CD deck (not too sure what brand it is) pluss 2 x Link and 2 x Infinity speakers. I'm thinking about getting a new CD/DVD deck and a sub woofer to add to it. Oh yeah, it's in my bedroom which is about 20m^2.
