thanks for the advice...I know of all of these series/artists, and I really like St. Germain, Nightmares on Wax, and The Roots...i would call The Roots more hip hop than anything, but George Evelyn is groovy as hell...

well its not really my forum, the admin is Haakon, ask him about it...so you want an avatar of sorts? go to User CP at the top of the page right underneath the headphones, and then go under "edit options" and then it should be pretty self-explanatory...I think the dimensions cannot exceed 100x100...and Svatik, I'm into almost every subgenre of what I call "electronic music" and am a bit knowledgeable in everything except for maybe house or trance because i just can't stand that stuff nowdays

I can agree to that.

but with different style names, one can have certain expectations when purchasing an album/EP or a cassette. it may be misleading sometimes, but it helps, in terms of marketing.

and I think the confusion comes from redundant style names/genre names. like tech step/jungle/drum and bass, aint they almost the same thing anyway?

jungle and d and b are completely different! u wouldn't get confused with these genres if u were into it, same as any type of music. i don't see the difference between modern electro and funky house!
