That's the thing...a lot of them aren't totally passionate about their music...they just want the money.

Besides, I see commercialism almost as a genre now.

Yeap, not all the artists do the music which they really like. That problem probably is more usual with those artists who don't make their own songs.

Just to tell you, Alexia makes her songs mostly on her own and so she makes that kind of music which she really loves. For example earlier her songs where dance music earlier and although she made the lyrics, the songs were mostly like her producer wanted and composed. In the interviews Alexia has said that she wanted to change her music style, because she wanted to really do the music which she loves and feels like as her own music. I can say that it can be heard in everything. I mean when artist really loves his/her music, it sounds even better.

The sad fact though is that many artists have to make more commercial music first, so that they would get their name known.

Alexia's new album has been released in Italy. This time on the album is couple of songs by "big name" American song writers. "Come tu mi vuoi"/"You Need Love" is by Sam Watters and Louis Biancaniello (you know the guys, who have made hits for Anastacia). Then "Se Te Ne Vai Cosi"/"I Want It To Be Me" is by Diane Warren (Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin etc.).

Lovely album where Alexia's voice and the lyrics have a big part..
