Yes I'm talking bout house, trance, rave, and techno but when someone says techno everyone gets this wild beat into their my's and such so why confuse them by saying house trance or rave. Because I know a couple of people how were so confused when I didn't say techno.

but then again "techno" is too broad a term because, now days, there are many "subgenres" of it that differ greatly, but I know what you're saying...to the ignorant, meaning not knowing of, saying rave, house, trance would be confusing...

Basically I'm talking about more... energetic music when I talk about techno... I've been listening to some TranceNation I got from my friend which is pretty decent. Although it isn't very trancy I don't think usually, it's some good shit. Thanks for the suggestions...
Basically my definition of techno is music that makes you want to move... trance is more things that make you want to think/feel, and electronica is stuff that makes you want to... exist I guess, sort of in a blissful limbo. Very relaxing, if not as deep.
About Moby though, I used to buy all his CD's that came out, I have all of them, I think, until that shitty shitty 18 came out. Play was good, although it was starting to be recycled crap which was too bad... Even animal rights was good, if not "techno" ...
Thx again, especially Cheddar.
OUt of curiousity, how many of you are closet music elitists? (I know I am.)

music elitists? hmm...can't say that I am, would hate to be one actually...
my favorite Moby album would have to be Everything is Wrong with his sidealbum Voodoo Child's "The End of Everything"

Yes happy hardcore shit. Well I jumped back into DC++ because buying imported albums is just too much money. (lol)
Well since I got into DC++ I got Trance Nation Future, Trance Nation 2003(Disc 1 n 2), Trance Nation 2002, Tunel Trance Force Vol.16(Disc 1 n 2), Rythm Trance February 2003, and Trance Master 20. I'm getting 3 ATB albums also and some more cool shit.

some IDM is shit because the term is used over way too many musical styles...if its complex in anyway its termed "IDM"...even if its not even danceable, its termed "IDM"...can't really stand "Intelligent Dance Music" as a title anyway, I like "Braindance"

I would rather to listen "IDM"/Braindance, or whatever you call it, than any happy hardcore/trance kinda stuff... if I listen to happy hardcore/trance stuff, my wife would definitely divorce me

as she should!!!
I've been a fan of IDM basically since I heard the term...I just can't stand all these young wankers that make minimal "shit" as I call it and call themselves IDM
"I've never paid much attention to techno, but I make IDM"...bah
