Alf garnet is an old english character from a sitcom (can't remeber the name). Bald with mustache and glasses. Famously bigotted and racist.

Question Misheard lyrics...

"'Scuse me, while I kiss this guy??" Of course not... but there are still quite a few debated song lyrics out there, some in fact that web sites devoted to the same band cannot agree upon.

One that's always perplexed me is from the Radiohead tune "Morning Bell". First verse, third line...
Morning bell
Morning bell
---> ??? <----
Release me
Release me

I've seen it interpreted three different ways... "Light another candle" - "Had a null encounter" - "Not another cannon" It could actually be any of these because Thom (bless him) is so damn good at swallowing his words. I'm inclined to believe it's the last of the three I cited.

Anyone have an opinion on this, or any other indistinct lyrics they'd like to share?

Ah... I looked but didn't see anything. Thanks Maybe it could be attatched to the earlier thread...

Anyone have any thoughts on the Radiohead lyrics I mentioned?

I don't know about those Radiohead lyrics, sorry, but my personal encounter with misheard lyrics can best be summed up by the fact that for the longest time I thought "Bandages" by Hot Hot Heat was actually "blender juice"...
