I recently ordered every Syd Barrett release and a few Pink Floyd books.

They're music is sort of a Punk/Garage Rock band out of Atlanta. It's real upbeat stuff. They have three albums that I know of. The one I got - High Life, High Volume and Fight Dirty and Get It Together. Gonna get the other two soon. Really like this band.

Well, it's not a CD, but it's a record. Picked it up on the weekend, and don't have the liner notes with me now but here's something from the net which replicates it I believe:

Not only that, it also has summary profiles of the Mexicali Singers and tells us what they look like and what their hobbies are. The record itself is danceable, amusing and frivolous, with a jazz and pop bent, and yes, the Mexicali Singers can sing quite well.

Just picked up Interpol's Radio and Tegan and Sara - If It Was You ( I want to get their latest eventually).

A friend of mine gave me a copy of Al Franken's The Best of the O'Franken Factor. Great comedy bits like Rush Limbaugh singing "My Drugs Are Red, White and Blue" and others titled "Cheney and Scalia In A Duck Blind," "Outsourcing Al" and "Ann Coulter In The Green Room" parts 1, 2 and 3.

I had it on my computer, but I decided to buy it. I think my next FZ album is gonna be Freak Out! Also I am gonna go on a classical music shopping spree.

I'd suggest getting "Absolutely Free", "Uncle Meat", or "We're Only In It For The Money" before Freak Out! -- it's a landmark album, but only the last half of it is really up to par with his best material.
