Finally ordered some Devil Doll:

"The Sacrilege of Fatal Arms"

Should get here in a few days, I'll post my thoughts on it then.

I really like it. Haven't been a big Wilco fan but this is pretty good. Fave tracks include Wishful Thinking, Handshake Drugs and I'm A Wheel.

Also picked up Album Leaf - In A Safe Place very nice stuff.

Oh and Modest Mouse - Baron Von Bullsh*t Rides Again

Devil Doll is fine music. I've never heard that album though, unfortunately.

Here are the albums that I bought in the period I went to England, with a short review. Keep in mind that I haven't listened to some as much as I maybe should.

Barclay James Harvest – Barclay James Harvest
Pretty good.

Grateful dead – Workingman’s dead
It’s allright, but a little too bluesy for me to really like it

Black Crowes – Souther harmony & musical companion
The same problem as with The Stones; leans too much on some “easy blues-riffs

Budgie – Budgie
Some pretty good riffs, but sometimes kind of long-winded

Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society
Good album, "People take pictures of eachother" is my favorite track.

Leonard Cohen – Songs of Leonard Cohen
Very good album. Fav tracks are "So Long Marianne", "Master Song" and "Hey, that’s no way..."

Leonard Cohen – New skin for the old ceremony
Again, very good album. Fav tracks are "Who by fire", "There is a war", "Lover lover lover" and "Is this what you wanted".

Leonard Cohen - Ten new songs
A bit of a disappointment. The songstructures aren't as good as the 2 previous albums I mentioned.

Bob Dylan – Desire
Good album, but, as with all Dylan albums, there are some songs that are not so good. Fav tracks are "Hurricane" (of course), "Black Diamond bay" and "Mozambique".

Bob Dylan – Blonde on blonde
Same problem. Fav tracks: "Stuck inside of mobile…", "Obviously 5 believers" and "I want you".

Metallica – Garage Inc.
Really cool album. The only songs I don’t really like from this album are the Motörhead covers, because Hetfield (unsuccesfully) tries a different voice.

Lynyrd Skynyrd – 2nd helping
First impression: Not as good as it’s predecessor, but worthwile southern rock.

Paul McCartney – Run devil run
McCartney goes back to some basic rock ‘n’ roll. Bought it because David Gilmour plays guitar on the album. Quite a good listen.

Very best of The Move
Psychedelic british rock. Nice music.

Rush – Exit…stage left
Nice live album.

Yes – Close to the edge
Good album, sometimes long-winded. Absolute highlight is "Siberian Khatru".

The Yes Album
Okay album, but they tend to make the songs too long.

Traffic – Traffic
Good album

Traffic – Low spark of high-heeled boys
Haven’t listened to it that much, seemedd a bit too jazzy. But I’ll give it another try.

Robert Plant – Now&Zen
Good music, although the keyboards can get a little obtrusive sometimes. Hightlights are "Tall Cool One" and "Ship of Fools".

Jimmy Page & Robert Plant – Walking into Clarksdale
Haven’t listened to it that much, bit it seems allright.

REM – Automatic for the people
Excellent album. "Monty got a raw deal" is very underrated.

Pink Floyd – Ummagumma
My first impression was a bit of a letdown, but I’ll give it another go.

Gillan – Anthology

Free – Live
A bit of a disappointment

Bruce Springsteen – Live 75-85
A great live album. I like Springsteen's rendition of "War", and the introducing story to "The River".

Crosby, Stills & Nash - ~
Allright, but the only song I really like is "Marrakesh express".

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Deja vu
Good album, but not great.
