I recently noticed there's a gaping hole in my collection -- no R&B!
...so I've begun the slow process of remedying it with what is probably the best place to start -- the 4 disk James Brown retrospective "Star Time"

A couple of days ago, I bought these cd's:
* The Cure - Disintegration
* Eels - Beautiful Freak
* Pixies - Surfer Rosa
(i know these aren't new releases but they're certainly very good!)

i just bought the Jimi Hendrix Experience pack today. 4 cds and an 80 pg book all for a little over $30 US, pretty good deal if you ask me
